Activating Free 3GB data From MTN On Phones Bought From Jumia Mobile Week
If you purchased your current smartphone on Jumia from the 1st of June till the 7th, you should read the following information carefully.

Who is Eligible For The Promotion?
Not everyone is eligible for the free 3GB data from MTN on devices bought. It’s basically for those who purchases their device between the 1st and the 7th of June during the Jumia Mobile Week Megathon.
The promotion is attached to the device, so once you receive it, don’t activate any other promotion/package if your preference is the one stated, as no device can have more than one data package at the same time.
How Long Do I Have To Activate The Data Plan?
When you purchase your device, the data isn’t activated automatically. You have to activate it yourself and you have until the 21st of June to do so.
How To Activate The Free 3GB Data Plan On MTN
Simply text FREE to 131. You will receive a confirmation message.
Note: If it doesn’t get activated immediately, please exercise patient as it may take up to 24HRS before your data is activated.

Question: What if I use an old MTN SIM Card, can I still activate the free data?
Answer: Yes, promo is attached to your new Smartphone, not to the SIM so text FREE to 131 from your new Smartphone and it will be activated.
Question: What if I have done the above instruction and my free data plan is still not activated?
Answer: Kindly send your phone IMEI and MTN phone number to service@Jumia.com.ng and you’ll be attended to.
Please Note: After 21st of June, 2015 you won’t be able to activate the 3GB data again on your new devices. So, act fast!
